Genesia Ventures has made a follow-on investment in TAIAN, a provider of services and software specializing in bridal and banquet businesses. This Series A investment was made through Genesia Venture Fund No. 3 (GV-3).
Background and Purpose of Fundraising
Since its inception, TAIAN has been providing software services (SaaS) to address the challenges facing Japan’s bridal industry. The company focuses on reducing staff workload while improving the experience for couples and guests. Today, TAIAN partners with more than 400 businesses across Japan.
As the company grew, it continued to explore ways to strengthen its focus on the “significance of connections between people and society.” The company recently discovered synergies between wedding receptions and corporate banquets; this insight prompted it to expand into the banquet industry, leveraging its expertise in managing large-scale celebratory events.
The company will use the funds raised in this round for new business initiatives, expanding its operations, and strengthening its organizational capabilities through strategic hiring.
