Genesia Ventures Makes Follow-on Investment in Pre-Series A Round of Conoris Technologies, SaaS and Vendor Management Solutions Provider

Genesia Ventures has made a follow-on investment in Conoris Technologies, a SaaS and vendor management solutions provider, through its Genesia Venture Fund No. 3 (GV-3) as part of the company’s pre-Series A round.

About Conoris Technologies

With the advancement of work style reforms and business digitalization, companies are increasingly adopting cloud services and partnering with external vendors. This shift has expanded various risks, particularly in security, and the task of managing these risks has grown more complex and burdensome for organizations.

Guided by their vision of “bringing the satisfaction of streamlining and eliminating work to society,” Conoris Technologies develops products that simplify complex risk management operations and enhance user experience. They currently offer three main products:

  • Conoris: Provides risk assessment and operational management for web services (cloud services)
  • Conoris BP: Provides vendor risk management (VRM) support
  • Conoris Answer: Automates vendor surveys and security checklists through AI-powered responses and streamlined management workflows

Background and Purpose of Fundraising

In the two years since the previous seed round, the company has successfully implemented its products across multiple leading Japanese companies, demonstrating substantial market demand and growth.

The Conoris series has recently launched a new feature called AI Review Assist. This feature automates risk assessment and review tasks that assessment departments previously handled manually. Companies using it in advance trials have given highly positive feedback, and this innovative capability is expected to be a key driver that will further drive the growth of the Conoris series.

This funding round aims to accelerate growth and invest in new business initiatives that will serve as the company’s next strategic pillar.

The industry landscape has changed so dramatically over the past two and a half years, that the seed round in 2022 — when many stakeholders, including VC investors, were asking “What is VRM…?” — feels like ancient history.
