Genesia Ventures Leads Seed Investment in FormX, a Corporate Disclosure Platform
Genesia Ventures is pleased to announce its lead investment in FormX’s seed round through Genesia Venture Fund 4 (GV-4). FormX provides a comprehensive disclosure platform that streamlines disclosure reporting processes for businesses.
Investment Background
Disclosure operations are critical and complex responsibilities for accounting and finance personnel in publicly listed companies, yet it lags behind in digitalization and continue to depend heavily on manual, person-dependent workflows.
Specifically, the editor functionality for disclosure documents frequently causes formatting issues with text indentation, becoming a major source of stress for staff, and the tools needed to streamline these workflows are inadequate.
Each year, listed companies face increasingly sophisticated disclosure requirements, including more diverse and complex information such as human capital and ESG data. Simultaneously, the growing shortage of finance and accounting specialists has created a widening talent gap in back-office departments.
After assessing FormX’s solutions that leverage cutting-edge AI and advanced product development technology, Genesia Ventures has decided to invest, confident that these innovations will address the structural issues in corporate disclosure operations while significantly enhancing productivity and supporting workplace reforms.

[*1] What is Disclosure:
Disclosure is the process by which companies release their management status and financial information to stakeholders, including investors and shareholders. In Japan, this encompasses securities reports, financial statements, and timely disclosures published through the Financial Services Agency’s EDINET system and the Tokyo Stock Exchange’s TDnet. Beyond being a legal requirement, disclosure serves as a vital mechanism for enhancing corporate transparency and fostering trust in capital markets.
[*2] What is XBRL:
XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) is a computer language suitable for electronic disclosure that has been internationally standardized by XBRL International to facilitate the creation, distribution, and utilization of various financial reporting information, such as financial statements.
Fund Allocation and Future Direction
FormX will allocate the newly raised funds to:
- Accelerating product development (advancing system development to complete the beta version in August 2025)
- Recruiting talent, including XBRL-capable engineers
- Strengthening sales and marketing systems for listed companies
- Establishing security and compliance frameworks (including SOC2 certification)
Recruitment Information
FormX is developing an intuitive and user-friendly editor from the ground up. This editor requires XBRL tagging for submission to the Financial Services Agency’s EDINET system and the Tokyo Stock Exchange’s TDnet, making it a particularly complex development challenge.
